A certified phlebotomist takes a small sample from your arm, about the same as a routine blood test. Nothing is added from outside your body.
Acne scars form where collagen was lost. PRP places concentrated growth factors into scarred skin to support its own repair, so dips can soften and texture can even out over a course of sessions.
Rated 5 stars by 100 Dublin clientsA scar is a place where the skin repaired itself with less collagen than it had before. PRP supports new collagen underneath, which can gradually lift and soften the scar.
Results build slowly, over a course of sessions. Our gallery cases for scarring were taken after 3 to 5 PRP treatments.
Louise will look at your scars at your consultation and tell you honestly what PRP is likely to do for them.
We treat scars, not active breakouts. If you have an infection or broken skin in the area, we'll wait until it has cleared.

The tube goes into a centrifuge. Heavy red cells sink to the bottom, and the golden plasma rises to the top, with the platelets gathered just above the red layer.

We draw off the platelet-rich layer of the plasma. This is the PRP: your own plasma, holding far more platelets than the blood it came from.
Platelets carry growth factors, the proteins your body uses to repair itself after a scrape or a cut. When the PRP goes back into your skin or scalp, they release them.
Growth factors dock onto receptors on nearby cells and switch on repair work, including collagen production in the skin and activity around the hair follicle.
In the skin, fibroblasts lay down fresh collagen, so texture and fine lines can improve gradually over the following weeks.
Every treatment now ends with free red light therapy. Red and near-infrared light passes into the skin and scalp, where it's absorbed by the mitochondria: the parts of each cell that make its energy.
We use it to calm the skin after treatment, support circulation and help along the renewal your PRP has started. It's warm and painless, and you just lie back.

PRP uses your own blood, but it isn't right for everyone. We won't treat you if any of these apply, and we'll ask at your consultation.
Taken anti-inflammatories or steroids in the last two weeks? Tell us, as we may move your appointment. And please don't drink alcohol or take recreational drugs the day before.

A small sample is taken from your arm by a certified phlebotomist.

It's rare for any treatment to remove scars completely. PRP can soften dips and even out texture over a course of sessions, and Louise will tell you what's realistic for your scars.
Scars usually need a course of 3 to 5 sessions. Louise will plan yours at your consultation.
No. We treat scarring once breakouts have settled, and we'll wait if there's an infection or broken skin in the area.
You may feel some mild stinging during the injections. For face, under-eye and neck treatments we use numbing cream to keep you comfortable. Hair treatments are done without it. Afterwards you may have some redness, swelling or bruising, which usually settles within a few days.
PRP is made from your own blood, so there's very little risk of an allergic reaction. It isn't right for everyone, though, which is why we ask some health questions first. If you're pregnant, have a blood disorder or are having cancer treatment, we won't treat you.
Yes, if you're new to us. The consultation costs €50 and takes about an hour. Louise checks PRP is right for you and builds your plan, and if you go ahead, the €50 comes off your first treatment.
